Adampack S.A. in cooperation with ESCO partners S.A. (Cooperation of Sirec Energy Capital Partners S.A., a Venture Capital Management Company with an investment objective in sustainability projects and MES ENERGY S.A. MESOGEIOS Group of Companies) proceeded to the implementation of a 462 KWp Roof Photovoltaic (PV) systems project using the net metering mechanism for the production of energy to be consumed on site, achieving zero losses from transmission.
The project, implemented in less than 6 months and launched in February, is expected to save energy that reaches 14% of the total annual consumption of Adampack’s industrial plant in Lavrio and prevents the release of 650 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year.
It should be noted that with the ESCO type agreement signed between the two parties all investment costs were fully covered by ESCO partners SA and the investment will be repaid through energy production savings at a pre-agreed purchase price per kilowatt hour produced.
